The Finale of Part One of Our Wrapped Around Dream Trip
I can’t believe this is my last post for part one of our amazing Caroline RV trip.
Atlanta holds a special place in my heart, filled with a multitude of cherished memories and vibrant energy. Nava’s Designs and Bellini formed an enduring partnership, and they opened in 1988. Most of their store displays were Nava’s Designs sets. During my first visit to Atlanta, I stayed at the home of Maureen and Larry Stier; the guest room featured Nava’s Designs’ Acapulco bedding set. It was one of our top sellers back then. I told Maureen jokingly, “We will not be able to give it away for free nowadays.” Our connection went beyond that of mere designer and baby store owners; we were two families intertwined in family business. We celebrated life events together, such as the birth of their son Justin and my boys’ adoptions. We would meet at industry trade shows yearly in Dallas and then in Las Vegas at ABC shows. We even crossed paths at the wedding celebrations of other Bellini family members. Our journey together took us to Alabama in 2005 for the thrilling ABC TV show “Extreme Home Makeover” of the Harris sextuplets. My boys stayed with them the night before, and together, they drove to Alabama to meet me and Robyne from Bellini. We witnessed the makeover reveal, which coincided with my 48th birthday.
In 2008, Albert embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by founding ParkMobile USA, and the condo at One Vinings Mountain became our “extra” home. Bellini Atlanta was a must-visit when I was in town. We saw each other, and I ended up visiting the store many times.
In 2010, Justin, a business management student at the university, got a two-year internship at ParkMobile USA. I was moved when he shared the growth he noticed in the second year, 2011.
Although my last visit to Atlanta was in 2011 with the Sanocki triplets, the connection with Maureen and Larry endured through the years, even after I moved back to Israel.
After 13 years, I returned to Atlanta, this time to the Marrietta RV park. Maureen and Larry graciously picked us up from the campground and treated us to a Chinese birthday dinner for Goren, making our evening truly special.
We ended up in their home in Sandy Springs, and I cooked dinner. Justin and his girlfriend Samantha joined us, and I think home-cooked meals are the best gift you can give anyone. You need to be able to cook, right?!
The bond of friendship and the warmth of reconnecting reaffirmed my belief that people who have left an indelible mark on my heart and touched my life are proof that relationships can be maintained across all phases of life.
On our last day in the RV park in Atlanta, while I looked in my worst shape, my hair was screaming for a hairdresser, and I was barefoot, Cara AnnMarie contacted me via Instagram after she saw the QR code on the RV. She is a known actor, and her husband David and their 3-year-old son are touring in an RV while she is on the set shooting. We promised to see them in Detriot in August. I love RV Life and the people that come with it.
We are back in Tel Aviv now, and I can’t wait to get back to Atlanta on June 2nd, 2024, to continue our RV trip to the east coast of the USA and Canada.
